WINTER MASTERCLASS 2026 IN MILAN, ITALY

Theatre No Theatre is pleased to announce that Thomas Richards, assisted by Theatre No Theatre members, will be holding a workshop entitled Winter Masterclass in Milan, Italy. This course for actors, directors, students, and those interested in the practical knowledge of the performing arts will be held from February 2nd to 13th, 2026. 

The workshop will strive to unearth the creative potentialities of each participant through work on the relations between precision and organicity, tradition and individual work, as well working on action, movement, rhythm, text development, composition, singing, and the living voice.

During the workshop, the participants will come in contact with the basic principles of Mr. Richards’ approach to theatre creation. As well, the participants will take part in singing sessions exploring an approach to work on song and action that has been at the heart of Richards’ research for more than 35 years. Such practice explores the potential impact that the melodic and rhythmical qualities of a given song can have on the person who sings.

The workshop will also be open to a limited number of people wishing to observe the processes for the whole period of the program.

If you are interested in participating, please send your CV and motivation letter to workshop@theatrenotheatre.com. Participants of Winter Masterclass will be selected based on these documents. There is no required format for your CV or motivation letter.

The cost for participation is:​

The cost for observing is:

500 euros for 2 weeks

300 euros for 1 week
